Upcoming Inauguration of Akbar Chowk Flyover Project Promises Enhanced Connectivity

According to sources at the CM office, the Akbar Chowk flyover project will be inaugurated on August 14th 2023. Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has given orders for its completion as soon as possible, benefitting many residents of Johar Town, Faisal Town, Model Town Township Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate PECO Road Canal Road etc.

Additionally, at a meeting chaired by the Punjab caretaker CM it was stressed that no tree should be cut down for construction of Akbar Chowk flyover. Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) will acquire advanced machinery for safe relocation of trees during construction. U-turns will also be constructed at Akbar Chowk, Model Town Link Road and Madar-e-Millat roads while flyovers extending from Jinnah Hospital to PECO Morr will be built as protected U-turns will also be built at Akbar Chowk flyover construction.
